Family Loses $14,000 in Jewelry in Latest Daytime Burglary

A Lincoln family loses $14,000 in jewelry after their home was burglarized late Tuesday morning.

Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner said it happened sometime between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. near 120th and Roca Rd. on Tuesday.

LSO said the front door to the home was kicked in, similar to other daytime burglaries within the last month.

Officers said $14,000 in jewelry was stolen, including $10,000 in Silpada jewelry. Some of the items taken were sapphire rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rubies.

Officers said two TV's, a laptop and 10 watches were also taken.

Based on the method of entry and the items stolen, Sheriff Wagner believes this burglary may be related to previous daytime burglaries.
