Lincoln, Neb.-- Three games are in the books for the Husker season, but plenty of fans still haven't seen what's under the hood inside Memorial Stadium's new renovations.
To see what the university has been working on, hundreds of fans took a self-guided tour through the new expansion.
"I think it's a fantastic addition," Cindy Sindel, a Husker fan, said.
Sindel's husband, Scott, also walked away highly impressed with the changes.
"There's lot of things to do in there," Scott Sindel said, "and there's lots to accomplish, so it's really very functional."
The tour included a walk-through the new outdoor seats, the suite levels and the Nebraska Athletic Performance Lab.
The only thing fans didn't get to see was the new Center for Brain, Biology and Behavior.
Staff said it wasn't ready quite yet.
Overall, many said they were just glad to have something different to talk about.
Attendees were glad to see a positive side of the program and university after a difficult week that involved uncertainty regarding head football coach Bo Pelini's job, a loss to UCLA, Pelini's comments about a former player and an audio recording from 2011 of Pelini criticizing the fans.
"I think it was just really blown out of proportion," Scott Sindel said.
Most visitors came away proud, and impressed, with the university's updates.
"I think it'll be real attractive to students as well as student athletes," Scott Sindel said, "it's a drawing card."
