Lincoln, Neb. Lincoln Fire and Rescue was called to the intersection of 21st and Randolph around 4:37 p.m. Monday.
Neighbors reported seeing smoke coming from the home of 735 S. 21st Street in Lincoln. Battalion Chief Leo Benes says they are unsure of the cause or how the fire started but the fire did start from a single room on the first floor.
The family was not home and there is no report of injuries. The room has significant damage and the family has been informed of the fire. Battalion Chief Benes also says they are still investigating and working to salvage the damages.
No fire personnel were injured while containing the fire. Check back on 1011now.com for updates.
