Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a two-alarm fire at 837 S. 27th St. on Tuesday.

Smoke was billowing out of Paramount Linen around 7:20 p.m.

Fire crews were on the roof of the building trying to put out the fire.

The fire was knocked down within 20 minutes and was controlled within half an hour.

The owner of Paramount Linen says she believes a commercial dryer is the source of the fire. Four workers were inside at the time of the fire, all made it out safely.

Streets were blocked off on 27th between Randolph and F for less than an hour and are now back open.
