Fire Department Responds to Alarm at St. Elizabeth Regional Med. Ctr.

Updated: Wed 11:05 PM, Mar 20, 2013

The Lincoln Fire Department responded to an alarm at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center near 70th and O Street Wednesday night just after 9pm.

According to one investigator on the scene, an off-duty police officer
smelled smoke in the first floor lobby.

But there was never any fire.

The source of the smoke may have been the result of a bad belt in a furnace unit of the building.

There were no evacuations and no injuries.
