An overnight fire just north of St. Paul, Nebraska completely destroyed the Miletta Winery building.

The Assistant Fire Chief in St. Paul told 10/11 it broke out around 2:00am and some of the family members were in the buidling when the fire started. The Miletta Winery website said the tasting room is a 2,000 square foot room, which had 84 feet of covered deck on the south and east side of the building. The website also said there was a winery where all the wines were made and stored, an office and wine lab, as well as a lower-level walk-out apartment where the owners lived.

The owners of the winery did not want to talk to 10/11, but were obviously upset after the fire.

Firefighters said all the family members got out safely and no on was hurt. Firefighters were on scene for six hours fighting the blaze. Several surrounding fire departments were called in to help fight the fire.

Firefighters had to come back later Saturday morning for clean-up, to put out hot spots and remove equipment.

The assistant fire chief said the building fire is a big loss for the local community because the Miletta Winery is one of the major businesses.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
