Kearney, Neb.-- A professor at the University of Nebraska at Kearney who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy says in state and federal lawsuits that the university discriminated against her because she is disabled.
Beth Wiersma's lawsuits say the university forced her to resign her post as chairwoman of a department.
They also say the university denied her various accommodations, including access ramps and a handicapped-accessible bathroom.
