Grand Island Public School administrators are squashing rumors of a bed bug infestation.
G.I.P.S. spokesman Jack Sheard said a single bed bug was found in a locker room at Walnut Middle School Tuesday.
Sheard said students were asked to take the clothes in those lockers home and the room was sprayed. Since then, the school reports no problems.
Sheard said spraying for bugs is not uncommon during the school year.
