General Motors Calls Back 2.4 Million Vehicles

General Motors is calling back 2.4 million vehicles in the U.S. to help resolve outstanding safety issues more quickly.

GM has now recalled at least 13.6 million vehicles this year, a record for the automaker.

The recent recalls include older-model crossovers with defective front seat belts, sedans with a shift cable that can wear out and new Cadillac Escalade SUVs with faulty air bags.

No deaths have been linked to this latest recall.
