Buffalo County officials say a woman was badly hurt when the pickup truck she was driving collided with a train just two miles east of Gibbon.
It happened this afternoon at the Sodtown Road and Union Pacific Crossing.
Officials say it's not clear what led to the crash.
They say there is no indication the woman tried to drive on the tracks intentionally.
The woman was driving southbound when an eastbound train hit her pickup truck.
She was the only person in the truck when it happened.
Authorities aren't releasing her name or age at this time, but say she's an adult from rural Shelton.
They confirmed the woman is in the hospitals.
Her injuries were described as significant, but officials didn't get specific.
The Gibbon Fire Department, Buffalo County Sheriff's Department, and Union Pacific Officials responded to the crash.
