A young girl was hit by a motorcycle while playing hide and seek with friends in the street.
Lincoln Police responded to the crash scene at 8930 Garland Street around 7 p.m.
Captain Jim Davidsaver said a motorcyclist was traveling at a slow rate of speed westbound on Colby Street and noticed the children playing in the street. The driver told police that the kids appeared to be clearing out but at the last moment a young girl - about six or seven years old - darted back in his path. Davidsaver said the handle of the motorcycle hit the girl and she suffered a cut to her head. The driver fell off his motorcycle.
Both received minor injuries.
The young girl told police she was just playing and wasn't paying attention.
