CLASS A
Thursday's quarterfinals at Devaney Sports Center
Millard West 65, Lincoln Northeast 45
Marisa Lowe scored a team-high 14 points to lead Millard West into the state semifinals. Devin Edwards led Lincoln Northeast with 10 points in the loss.

Lincoln Southeast 57, Bellevue East 49
Jess Shepard leads all scorers with 27 points as the Knights head into the state semifinals. Alexa Kastanek added 14 points in the win.

Bellevue West 53, Omaha Benson 51
Omaha Central 61, Millard North 60

Friday's semifinals at Devaney Sports Center
Lincoln Southeast 67, Millard West 48
Jess Shepard led Lincoln Southeast with 28 points and Alexa Kastanek added 19 as the Knights are back in the Class A state championship. Millard West closed the 3rd quarter on a 13-3 run and got as close as 9 points, but the Knights proved to be too tough to contain. Lincoln Southeast plays for its 10th state championship in school history Saturday at the Devaney Sports Center.

Bellevue West 53, Omaha Central 50
Kate Liveringhouse scores 18 points to lead Bellevue West past Omaha Central in a Class A semifinal. Madi Brown added 11 points in the win. Sylvia Smith-Gatson scored a team-high 19 points for Omaha Central in the loss.

Saturday's third-place game at Lincoln East
Omaha Central 65, Millard West 57

Saturday's championship at Devaney Sports Center
Lincoln Southeast 65, Bellevue West 57
Jess Shepard led with 26 points and 19 rebounds as the Lincoln Southeast Knights captured their 10th state championship in school history with a 65-57 win over Bellevue West Saturday afternoon. Shepard set the Class A state record for the most points scored in a tournament with 81. The previous record was held by Maurtice Ivy (Omaha Central) when she scored 80 points back in 1980.

Alexa Kastanek had 14 points and 7 rebounds and Reanne May scored 13 points in the win.

Bellevue West cut the lead to under single digits, to just 6 at one point in the game, but it was too much Jess Shepard on this day.

Kate Liveringhouse led Bellevue West with a team-high 16 points in the loss.



CLASS B
Thursday's quarterfinals at Pershing Center
Beatrice 59, South Sioux City 56
Hanah Barnard scores 31 points and hits a Class B record 6 3's and Beatrice moves into the state semifinals.

Norris 44, Gretna 43
Norris rallied in the 4th quarter to advance to the state semifinals. The Titans made clutch 3 pointers in the final minutes after starting the game 0-13 from beyond the arc. Norris' rally was without Kasey Hohlen, who fouled out in the 4th quarter. Hannah Hoefler, who made the go-ahead 3-pointer, led Norris in scoring with 13 points.

Northwest 61, McCook 34

Friday's semifinals at Devaney Sports Center
Norris 59, Beatrice 54 (overtime)
Kasey Hohlen scores a team-high 20 points to lead Norris to its first-ever appearance in the Class B championship game. Bridget Bucher added 15 for the Titans. Jill Faxon scored a team-high 20 points for Beatrice in the loss.

Northwest 57, Seward 45
McKenzie Brown led Northwest with 20 points as the Vikings are in the Class B Championship game. Erin Sorahan added 18 in the win. Kourteney Zadina scored a team-high 17 points for Seward, who had won four consecutive Class B titles.

Bailey Sokolowski scored a team-high 19 points to lead Kearney Catholic back to the Class C1 state championship. Therin Baum added 13 points in the win.

Friday's semifinals at Pershing Center
Hastings St. Cecilia 52, Hershey 42
Clare Hamburger led Hastings St. Cecilia with a team-high 22 points to put them back in the state championship. Morgan Nikkila added 14 points in the win.

Crofton 54, Homer 36
Bridget Arens scores 22 points to lead Crofton past Homer in the Class C2 semifinal game. Quinn Wragge added 16 points. Crofton looks to cap an undefeated season with a win Saturday against Hastings St. Cecilia.
