One of the most recognizable homes in the state of Nebraska celebrated a major milestone Saturday.
The Governor's Mansion is now 55 years old.
To celebrate, the Nebraska State Quilt Guild gifted the governor and first lady with a special quilt.
It's called "The Meadowlark Dance" and will hang on display inside the mansion.
Lincoln native Shelly Burge designed the quilt.
The president of the quilt guild says they're excited to show the artistic side to their craft.
The quilt will be on display at the state fair for anyone who wants to take a look.
After that it will be displayed in the mansion and can be seen during tours of the home.
