A Grand Island father has been charged with felony child abuse and third-degree assault.
Officer Butch Hurst of the Grand Island Police Department said Amaurys Hernandez-Lopez was arrested for an incident that occurred on Nov. 4, 2012. He said the victims were the suspect's daughter and the child's mother. The Hall County Attorney's office added that Hernandez-Lopez appeared before a judge for a bond hearing on Tuesday morning.
