Posted: Tue 5:11 PM, Mar 19, 2013

The Grand Island Police Department said a 24-year old woman reported being kidnapped at gunpoint by a man just before ten Monday night.

The man allegedly forced her to drive around Grand Island while pointing his gun at her. Police said the ordeal lasted until midnight, when the man apparently got out of the vehicle around 5th Street and Taft Avenue and ran away.

Authorities said they were still working on confirming the identity of the man as of Tuesday evening.
