Update: Heavy Snow Closes Highways

Heavy snow and high winds are making travel treacherous across much of western and north-central Nebraska.
State officials closed U.S. Highway 30 between Ogallala and Chappell and State Highway 61 between Ogallala and Arthur because of snow and ice.
Heavy snow and blowing snow is reported on Highway 26 around the Lewellen area.
Travel in this area is not advised.
