Hickman, NE-- Some Residents of Hickman are cleaning up and starting over after Thursday night's tornado.
"It's hard to do, but that's all you can do. You have to joke around about it," said Amy Taylor, a relative of a homeowner.
Although most debris have been picked up, there is still more to clean up. They say that the best thing to do is to be optimistic.
"You can't be serious, because it looks like a war zone. And if you're not laughing and having fun about it, then you're not going to get much accomplished," said Taylor.
They say there are many challenges, and the hardest one is finding a starting point.
Other residents, Jessica and Brian Crogg said that it will take some time to get back to normal, "It's going to be a while."
However, with the help they've been receiving they can take steps to get there.
"Everyone has been incredible. Tons of friends, family, and strangers we've never even met," said Jessica Crogg.
