Homeless Man In Critical Condition After Being Hit by Car

A 41-year-old transient is in critical condition after he was hit by a car.
Investigators say the man was walking on Highway 77, near Saltillo Road when he was clipped by the side mirror on a van. They say the driver of the van saw what he thought was a deer and swerved to miss it.
After he hit the man, officials say the driver of the van stopped and contacted a Lancaster County Sheriff's Deputy.
The transient was taken to BryanLGH West where he underwent surgery.
The driver has not been cited for the accident.
