During the court-storming winning games against the Badgers Sunday night, Husker Nation didn't think it could get any better. Then the Big Ten announced late Monday that Coach Tim Miles had been named Big Ten Coach of the Year.

"Picked to finish last in the league and they're fourth in the league right now, with a first round bye, he's deserving of it," said Husker fan Matt Maw.

It's an honor that fans feel was justified for a coach that has turned the Husker Basketball Team around.

"Tim Miles is a classy guy and he brings the true Nebraska attitude back to Nebraska Basketball," said Lazlo's Co-Owner Jay Jarvis.

It's the Huskers' incredible play that's given a jolt of life to businesses and fans in the Railyard and Haymarket, especially after the win over Wisconsin.

"It's really awesome, the atmosphere feels like we're finally on the map," said Husker fan Jr. Douty.

"Everybody was down early to have some fun and cheer on the Huskers, we got really busy early and stayed busy," said Jarvis.

Businesses like Lazlo's in the Haymarket hope the energy surrounding the Men's Basketball Team keeps people coming downtown to cheer on the huskers during tournament play.
