While there's plenty of action with fans downtown, earlier Friday, those people were lining the streets of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln campus.
Fans of all ages came out to join in on the festivities.
Parade goers got an early start on practicing their cheers for Saturday's game.
It's all fun and games for the folks on the catching end of the candy.
But, homecoming parade organizers said behind the scenes it's a whole lot of work..
"It's been kind of challenging at times," parade organizer Chelsea Kubicek said. "It's just a lot to put together, but once it all comes together I think it will be totally worth it."
It takes six months and several tons of tissue paper.
"It's a lot of long hours staying up and watching the float, but it all pays off in the end," student float builder Patrick Coder said.
And, in Husker tradition, students are just months away from starting it all again.
"I think they'll be well prepared for next year," Kubicek said.
That's something Evan can get on board with, as long as they bring back her favorite act.
"I love cheering and I'm in cheer class," parade-goer Evan Scattergood said.
The big show may be wrapped, but those heading to campus for Saturday's game will still get to see all the decorations.
They'll be up through the weekend.
