The Nebraska women's basketball team lost to BYU, 80-76, in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament on Monday night. Nebraska ends the season with a 26-7 record, the 2nd most wins in school history.

Big Ten Player of the Year Jordan Hooper scored 20 points in the loss while Tear'a Laudermill had 22. However, Hooper and Rachel Theriot combined to go just 4-16 from the field in the first half.

The Cougars, meanwhile, shot nearly 54 percent from the field in the first half.

The Nebraska women's basketball team was playing tonight for a spot in the Sweet 16 Lincoln Regional, which will be played next weekend at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

DePaul also secured at spot in Lincoln next weekend. The 7th seeded Blue Demons upset 2nd seeded Duke, 74-65 in Durham on Monday night.
