The Nebraska baseball was two outs away from having its season end, but the Huskers rallied with a 3-run 9th inning to advance in the NCAA Stillwater Regional. The Huskers defeated upset-minded Binghamton 8-6 Saturday afternoon. Nebraska will play the Oklahoma St vs. Cal St. Fullerton loser on Sunday.
Freshman Ryan Boldt drove in the game-tying run with 1 out in the 9th inning. The Huskers followed that with a perfectly-executed bunt by Steven Reveles which scored the go-ahead run. Senior outfielder Michael Pritchard extended the rally with an RBI single.
Relief pitcher Zach Hirsch closed out the game for an 8-6 victory.
