One person is in the hospital after an early morning crash with a semi-truck.
Just after midnight Monday, the Nebraska State Patrol and emergency crews responded to Interstate 80 just east of 56th Street in Lincoln.
NSP says that 43-year-old John Brown of Allegan, Michigan was westbound on I-80 when he ran into the back of a semi-trailer truck.
Officials believe that's when Brown lost control of his SUV, crashing into a concrete barrier before coming to a rest in a ditch.
Waverly Fire and Rescue used the jaws of life to remove the Brown from the damaged SUV. He was life-flighted to Bryan West campus.
NSP officials have not released the extent of his injuries. They say the semi driver and co-driver were not injured.
Officials say alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash.
