Impending Storm Slams Schedules

Updated: Wed 6:09 AM, Feb 20, 2013

The impending snowstorm is messing with high school basketball schedules and travel plans.

For example, the girls' varsity basketball "District Tournament" being played at Lincoln's Southeast High School, had its schedule abruptly changed on Tuesday.

The championship game set for Thursday was bumped up a day.

Officials say they had no choice, because of the forecast.

Some parents wanted to push the championship game to Friday or Saturday, but school officials worried that would make matters worse.

Other high school "District Tournament" venues have also changed their schedules because of the big snowfall soon to arrive.
