The Nebraska State Patrol says a car hit a construction worker and the back of a semi truck on Interstate 80 west of Lincoln. The crash slowed traffic in the area.
Officials said a car traveling in a construction zone near mile marker 394 left the eastbound lane, struck a road worker and rear-ended a semi truck just after 11 a.m. Thursday. The car crashed into a median.

According to NSP, DeJaynes and his 12-year-old son and the construction worker, 20-year-old Nicholas Schreiner of Seward, were taken to the hospital.
