Jeweler Accused of Child Porn Waives Preliminary Hearing

The Lincoln jeweler accused of having child pornography in his store waived his preliminary hearing and is headed to District Court.
James Powell is charged with possession of child pornography. Police say they found dvds and images on Powell's computer at his jewelry store in December.
He has maintained his innocence to this point. His lawyer told 10/11 that his client is involved in a dvd sharing club and if there was illegal material that is where it came from.
Tuesday Powell waived his right to a preliminary hearing. His case will now be moved to District Court and his first appearance will be on January 30.
