The Nebraska location of IAC Acoustics (formerly GT Exhaust) said on Friday that the company’s commercial noise products will be manufactured at its new production facility in Lincoln.
Until now, the Lincoln location only created products for the power & energy division after the acquisition by the IAC Group in September of 2012.
This move means that 100 new jobs will need to be filled.
“The corporate focus on expanding the Lincoln facility has been a major piece of our global strategic plan with facing an increasingly competitive marketplace in North America,” stated Robert Rennie, Global Operations Director.
“We feel fortunate to have a plant in Lincoln and have the opportunity to support and grow the local economy through job creation,” said Rennie.
The timeline for filling the new positions will occur over the next quarter.
The new facility opened in May.
IAC Acoustics is holding a job fair Saturday, July 12, 2014.
“Job fairs at our facility have been successful in the past, allowing candidates to tour the work environments, take a weld test and participate in on-site interviews,” Nadia Blazevich, HR manager said.
“With so much growth in a short period of time, we want to ensure the community has the opportunity to see first-hand all of the exciting things happening at IAC Acoustics Lincoln,” said Blazevich.
IAC Acoustics is seeking a wide range of production and office positions including welders, assemblers, CNC operators, supervisors, engineers and more.
