Fire crews worked quickly to extinguish a fire in a Lincoln apartment Thursday morning.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews were called to 2430 R Street just after 8 a.m. When crews arrived they received reports that one woman was still in the apartment and didn't want to leave.

Battalion Chief Eric Jones said crews were able to get her out safely. No injuries were reported.

Jones said the fire was confined to just one room and the damage is minimal.

Fire inspectors are still investigating the exact cause of the fire.
