LFR Responds to Garage Fire at 28th & S

Around 12:20, Tuesday afternoon, Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a call of a garage on fire near 28th and S streets.
The 10/11crew that responded to the scene says the fire appeared to start in the back of the garage. They noticed chickens running around the yard. LFR mentioned a heater was being used in the garage to keep the chickens warm. They believe the heater may have been the cause of the fire.
The resident wasn't home at the time and there weren't any injuries.
LFR is still investigating.
