Lincoln, Neb.-- Lincoln Fire Rescue stations got free pizza for lunch Thursday.
David Nicholson is a friend of several firefighters and wanted to show his appreciation for what they do.
Pizza Hut delivered two large meat lover pizzas to all 14 stations in the city around noon.
Captain Tim Sherwood says a thank you like this doesn't happen all the time, especially not for all the stations at once.
Nicholson is also starting a program called Adopt a Fire Station where people who live near a station would cook or take food to the firefighters once a month.
Anyone who would like to help out can contact David Nicholson at 402-484-7281.
