Lincoln Police have referred a 13-year-old boy to the Lancaster County Attorney for disturbing the peace. This comes after a knife incident at Park Middle School.
According to LPD, the boy brought a pocket knife to school and threatened a female student with it. It happened between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday.
They say the school initially handled the incident and confiscated the knife. The school notified police Friday morning.
Officers spoke to the boy, then referred the case to the county attorney. LPD referrers all crimes committed by children under 16 to the county attorney. The county attorney will decide if the boy will face changes.
Police say no one was injured in the incident.
