LPD: Burglars Steal Jewelry & Electronics, Then Drive Off with Victim's Car

By  |

Police are looking for men who broke into a North Lincoln home and drove away in the victim's car.

The victims discovered the burglary just before six Thursday night.

Police say someone forced open a door, stole $2,000 worth of jewelry and electronic, then made off with a 2008 black Pontiac G-6 worth $8,800

The license plate number is SEU161.

According to police, this burglary could have been prevented.

"The officer taking the report conducted a neighborhood canvas and spoke to neighbors who reported seeing two unknown men in the neighborhood earlier in the day. They were knocking on doors and if no one answered, they put their ears to the doors and even looked inside before leaving," Officer Katie Flood said.

Police say neighbors think much of the men at the time and didn't report the suspicious activity.

The suspects are described as two Hispanic men in their 20's or 30's. They were wearing dark clothing and carrying backpacks and may be driving a 2000 white four door car.
