A Lincoln man is facing charges after police say he was drunk when picked his child up from school.
Police cited and released 51-year-old Richard Anderson for second offense DUI, child neglect, and operating a vehicle under the influence with a child in the car.
Monday afternoon, police say someone noticed Anderson stumbling and visibly drunk at the school. They called police, but Anderson and his child drove away before officers could get there. Police later found him at his home.
"The man was later transported to detox for a formal test. He tested at .254, more than three times over the legal limit," Officer Katie Flood said.
No one was injured in the incident. The child was left in the care of his mother, who was home at the time.
