A Lincoln man is facing charges after police say he tried to set fire to his pregnant girlfriend.
Police arrested 25-year-old Quinton Rivers Wednesday for domestic assault.
According to Lincoln Police, he got into an argument with his 20-year-old girlfriend Tuesday night at his home at 835 South 21st street. Police don't know what the argument was about.
Police say Rivers poured lighter fluid on her and some bedding she was trying to cover herself with.
They say he threatened to kill her and their unborn child. The woman is nine months pregnant.
Police say Rivers sparked a lighter near her mid-section, but, luckily, a fire did not ignite.
A family member arrived, took the woman away and called police.
