LPD Officer Injured Responding to Disturbance Call

A Lincoln police officer is recovering after a violent confrontation.

Captain Jason Stille says around 6:00 Friday night officers were called to a southeast Lincoln neighborhood for a disturbance.

While talking with a 21-year-old, the officer was head butted causing a cut above his left eye.

The officer was released after getting some stitches.

The identity of the suspect and location of the incident are not being released due to possible mental health issues.
