Update: Police Search for Suspect After Sonic Robbery

Lincoln police are searching for an armed robbery suspect after the Sonic near 84th and Holdrege was robbed early Friday.

Police said before 6 a.m., a man with a gun approached a Sonic employee opening the business.

Capt. Jason Stille says the suspect put a gun to the female employee's head and also threatened to tie the employee up with zip ties.

Officer Katie Flood said the suspect got away with cash.

Police say the two witnesses gave two different descriptions. One witness says the suspect was a Hispanic male around 6'0" to 6'2". The other witnesses says the suspects was a white man, in his mid 20's around 5'5" to 5'7".
