A Lincoln couple is facing charges after police say a shoplifting run got out of control.

Police says 30-year-old Mindy Falcon and 26-year-old Jarvis Long walked into the CVS at 15th and South street just before one Thursday morning.

They say Falcon distracted a clerk while Long hid a bottle of whiskey down his pants.

The couple left the store without paying and that's when police say two employees confronted them.

"The woman pulled out a hammer, was swinging it while threatening to harm both employees. They left prior to officer arrival. Upon reviewing video surveillance, officers recognized the female as Mindy Falcon and the male as Jarvis Long," Officer Katie Flood.

Police arrested Falcon for terroristic threats while Long faces a felony theft charge.
