"We're ready to move on."
Nancy Biggs, Assoc. Supt., Human Resources, Lincoln Public Schools
The Lincoln Public School District has accepted an insurance offer of $14,850,000 to pay for the building portion of the new district headquarters.
The school board accepted the offer Tuesday night, after months of negotiations with its insurance carrier.
When it's all said and done, the school district says the entire insurance bill will be $23,392,886.75.
That includes things like having to lease space and paying for contents that burned up in the fire like paper, computers, etc.
"We're ready to move on," said Nancy Biggs, Associate Superintendent of Human Resources for LPS.
