Lincoln Public Schools has called off school for Wednesday, Feb. 5, due to the accumulating snowfall and blizzard-like conditions forecast.
Mary Kay Roth, director of Communications at LPS: "We have been watching the storm throughout the day and at this point we believe the snow, wind and cold could cause unsafe conditions for our staff and students. We will cancel classes for Wednesday."
This is only the second "weather" day for LPS. Additional instructional time is built into the regular LPS school calendar so no makeup is required.
