Lancaster County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a pair of burglaries that may be related.
Investigators say homeowners came home to their door kicked in at 8001 Southwest 98th street Tuesday.
The burglary attempt happened sometime between eight that morning and one that afternoon.
Nothing was missing from the home. Deputies believe a barking dog scared off the burglar.
Investigators say $550 worth of silver was taken from another home at 3800 West Van Dorn.
It happened sometime between nine Monday morning and six Wednesday night.
The burglar damaged the door to get in and rummaged through drawers before stealing silverware.
