More thefts mount as the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office continue to investigate a series of break-ins throughout the county.
Sheriff Terry Wagner says someone got inside a storage facility just east of Emerald overnight Friday.
He says the thieves took two semi engine turbos and a racing harness worth $800.
Another burglary was discovered Sunday morning at a storage facility near Northwest 48th and Highway 34.
Wager says locks on six units were cut and only a chest of drawers was taken from one unit.
Wagner say unlocked cars were also targeted over the weekend.
At a car show in Malcolm Sunday, he says a woman left her purse behind the seat in an unlocked pick-up. Someone got away with the purse and $1,200 cash.
Overnight Saturday in Hickman, another woman lost her purse, along with $1,500 in medication jewelry and watches. Wagner says she left the purse in her unlocked car in the driveway.
"The message here is not to leave valuables in an unlocked car, even if it is in your garage. As we know, from the last two weeks or so, we've been having folks enter garages and rifle through unlocked vehicles that are parked in garages. Many times there are valuables items, wallets, purses, left inside garages and they are just not that secure," Wagner said.
