Ward Urbom was born near Atlanta, Nebraska in 1922.
He spent a lot of his early years reading books about the Old West and eventually, he realized that it was the lawyers that were often times swooping in to solve all of the problems.
In 1948, Ward's childhood dream came true and he became a lawyer.
64 years later, Ward is still practicing law at 90 years of age.
It's what you might call a pretty common sight around Arapahoe. For more than 22,000 days, ward Urbom has entered the door to his law office.
Ward isn't exactly sure why he is still working 40 hour weeks at 90 years of age, but this is his guess, "Because I don't know any better? I've been working all my life and I don't think I want to stop now."
Ward has always enjoyed practicing law, "Well, it's interesting, you never have the same problem two days in a row."
Ward has two sons and both are attorneys. And when it comes to his father's career path, 53 year old Kevin is both impressed and scared, "Oh, I think it's frightening. I mean I hope it's not genetic. It's incredibly impressive frankly and people ask me why he's still practicing law and I just say, 'He started practicing in 1948 and back then it was kind of the Wild West and he had a lot of fun practicing law and he hasn't figured out yet that it's changed and it's a real pain in the butt.'"
