LINCOLN, Neb.-- Three of the six people injured in a Tuesday night crash on Interstate 80 remain hospitalized.
The Nebraska State Patrol said a car with four teenage girls from Grand Island was driving eastbound on I-80 near Lincoln, when the driver lost control, crossed the median and hit an SUV head on. There were two people in the SUV, a mother and an infant child.
The three teen passengers in the first car remain in the hospital, a 17-year-old is listed in critical condition, a 16-year-old was upgraded from critical to fair condition, and 15-year-old remains in fair condition.
The drivers of both vehicles involved, a 17-year-old and 27-year-old Whitney Santo are no longer listed as a patient at Bryan West.
