LINCOLN, Neb. -- A homeowner will need to relocate after Thursday morning storms sparked a fire in a north Lincoln house.

Lincoln Fire crews were called to a home near Cornflower Drive and Meridian Drive, just east of 27th and Fletcher, around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday. A neighbor called 911 reporting the fire, claiming lightning had struck the house.

When crews arrived, flames were seen coming out of the roof of the house from the attic. LFR was able to knock down the fire within 45 minutes.

No one was hurt in the fire and Red Cross was on scene to help with relocating the resident.
