Two people are in jail facing several charges after police say they wrote bad checks.

Captain Jason Stille says Lincoln police had been looking for a suspect who wrote checks totaling more than $700 from a closed account.

Around midnight, Friday, police went to the Motel 6 at 3001 NW 12th St to arrest 33-year-old Tommy Hulett.

When officers arrived Hulett jumped out a second story window but was arrested shortly thereafter.

Also arrested was 23-year-old Monica Bernhardt for obstruction, failure to comply and child neglect since a child was in the room at the time.
