Imagine being pregnant and expecting twins only to be told by doctors that you'll be having quadruplets. One Lincoln couple says they were shocked to hear the news back in June.
Brian and Ashley Meyers say now they're just happy to have all four of their early Christmas presents happy and healthy. The couple welcomed Aubrey, Sam, Cole, and Macie late Saturday night at Bryan East campus.
It took a delivery team of 19 doctors, nurses and surgical staff to deliver the newborns. Ashley is already a mother to a five-year-old daughter and says this pregnancy was a little different.
"I grew so much faster, " said Ashley Meyer. "What's ironic is that I never had to go on bed rest this pregnancy where as the last one I was on bed rest for a week and a half."
The couple says this will probably be their last pregnancy, but they haven't ruled out adoption.
