Lincoln Man Arrested After Assaulting Police Officers

A Lincoln man is now facing felony charges after, police say, he assaulted officers.

Just before 1 a.m. Monday, 43- year-old Eddie Key was arrested near 23rd and S streets after police say he violated a protection order.

After Key was taken into custody he began to struggle with officers.

That's when one officer was kicked in the face, and another was kicked in the chest.

Key was lodged in jail for violation of a protection order and two counts of assault on a police officer.
