Lincoln police are investigating a possible case of arson.
Authorities say the suspect targeted a Ford compact car in the 2600 Block of 'S' Street.
Police say the owner called police just after 11:30 p.m. Monday night.
1011 spoke to the owner who said he heard a bang and looked outside to see flames inside his car.
Police say a white male smashed the car's back window and threw in a milk jug full of gasoline.
The owner grabbed an extinguisher and put the fire out.
The owner says he doesn't know who may have started the fire.
Police believe the car is a total loss.
