Lincoln Police surrounded a three-story home at 2627 R Street in response to a report of a man with a knife Tuesday, around 2:45 p.m.
Earlier, a man allegedly threatened people at a nearby convenience store, then went back to his apartment across the street.
Jade Lobo, a worker at Lobo's City Mex, said the man had a "daggar." When she saw him, "I just wanted to shut the door and call the cops," she told 1011 News.
Police evacuated the house on R Street to make sure he didn't hurt anyone.
After a short while, officers took the man into custody. 1011 has learned the man has since been released. He was never arrested or charged, but an investigation is continuing.
Meanwhile, 1011 has obtained security video of the incident at Lobo's City Mex, which shows the man wielding a knife.
Nobody was hurt.
Police say the man will not be cited or charged following the incident.
