LINCOLN, Neb.-- Three Lincoln teens are in the Youth Detention Center after an attempted burglary.
Lincoln Police said around 9 p.m. Monday, the teens entered an unlocked home at 4100 N. 11th Street.
Two witnesses told police they saw the homeowner, a 43-year-old man who was home at the time, chase the teens outside.
LPD said the teens were then chased to a home in the 3900 block of N. 7th when police were called. Officers located the teens along with a Samsung tablet that was stolen from the home.
The teens were taken into the detention center and cited for misdemeanor theft and burglary.
A little before the home invasion, the two witnesses said they saw the teens break into an unlocked car at North Park Boulevard.
Police said the witnesses then followed the teens to the home invasion and burglary.
